My number one goal for this year is an oldie but goodie ~ weightloss. I've been on this journey for a couple of years (off and on) but I set a timeframe for myself a year ago. I want to be between 150-175 pounds by the time I'm 40 years old. I'm around 287 now so yeah, I have a lot of work to do.
At my largest, I was 320 pounds, so I am making progress slowly but surely. In order for me to lose over a hundred pounds by February 2016, I'm going to have to take this journey a lot more seriously.
For the first 20 days of January, I am attempting to eat nothing but raw fruits and veggies. Sometimes I eat salads other times I drink smoothies. Lord is this hard since I am a major pasta lover. I could do without the meat for a while but a sister is in need of a trip to Olive Garden. But I'm going to stay strong.
If you didn't know, eating nothing but fruits and vegetables makes you go to the pot a lot. Yeah, I know, TMI but I'm just saying. I'm also drinking a lot of water and taking Dherbs Cleansing Formula. The number of pills I have to take makes me feel like a junky but everything seems to be getting cleaned so I'll deal with it for the next 18 days.

Being a hot natured person, I don't mind walking or attempting to jog in 30-40 degree weather. Couch to 5K (C25K) is the nine week program I'm using to build up my endurance enough to run at least one 5K this summer. When it rains, I wipe my tears and hop on my elliptical. It's not the same as being outside but at least I work up a sweat, which is always a good thing. We have a gym at work so I go in there to hit the weight machines a couple times per week.
Even if I don't hit my goal by my 40th birthday, I'm sure I'll be fit and 40 by the summer of 2016.
What are some of your goals or resolutions for the new year? What are you going to do to make things happen?
